The Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has introduced a strengthened national cybersecurity framework to counter increasing online threats.

The new strategy includes the establishment of dedicated cyber response units in all geopolitical zones, training for law enforcement agencies, and closer monitoring of high-risk online activities.
During the announcement, the Minister stated that cybercrime cases have risen sharply due to the growing use of digital services and e-commerce platforms.

Private sector players welcomed the move, saying it will protect businesses from data breaches and financial losses.
The government also stressed that young people should avoid engaging in online fraud, emphasizing that stronger monitoring tools will make cybercrime more difficult.
