The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja has rolled out a new AI-assisted security screening system designed to speed up passenger processing and improve security.
According to airport authorities, the system uses smart scanners to detect prohibited items and reduce manual checks.
Passengers reported faster queues and fewer delays at the departure terminals during the first week of implementation.
Security experts said the upgrade will help the airport meet international standards and attract more airlines.
Officials noted that staff are currently undergoing training to operate and maintain the new equipment.
